Well, as of yesterday I'm 33 weeks pregnant. Here's what we learned in class:
-Newborn babies can have funny shaped heads.
-If all is well, baby can stay with mom for skin-to-skin contact for 3-4 hours after the birth before they take the baby to be cleaned up.
-In the event of a c-section, baby stays with dad during that time.
-All babies at the hospital room in with mom, and the normal stay is 4 days.
-Expect mom to be mom FIRST and above all else, for the first few months of baby's life.
Next week, we get to observe bath time for a real, live baby!
