Frederic's mom brought her violin and played a piece for us. After investigating the violin a bit, we discovered that it had been made in 1761. Yeah. Older than the US, and still plays beautifully.

Happy (belated) 1st of August!
The 1st of August is the Swiss 4th of July. Confused? I guess I should say that the 1st of August is the Swiss National Holiday. We had Frederic's mom, brother, and brother's partner over for lunch- I made a traditional Swiss meal of tacos. Well, ok, so that wasn't well thought-out, but still... they were good!
