Today was our last beautiful day before 4 days of expected rain. Eliot and I headed out in light sweaters to play in the wind and sunshine. It's the first time we've gone out without a stroller or backpack for him!
We didn't go far... there is a little play area with monkey bars and swings and a slide in our apartment complex, and Eliot was SO HAPPY to run around (yes, he really took a few running steps) in the wind and chase the leaves. Of course, the first treasure he found to pick up was a cigarette butt (thank you, Europe) but otherwise there were flowers and tiwgs and leaves to pick up, crumble, chew...
We spent 45 minutes outside goofing off. Eliot thought it was hilarious to see me up in the monkey bars, but he was not a fan of the swing. Supervised sliding did get a big smile though.
He's going to sleep well tonight!
In other news, he is now the proud owner of a molar tooth, and is taking 2 hour naps!!!
