Picky, picky

For four days now, I have found Eliot on his tummy at the end of every nap and in the morning. After several days of absolute awfulness, Eliot is finally learning to sleep on his stomach, rather than rolling and then screaming about it for an hour. But he's quite picky about it. He wants to be placed in his crib on his back, with his rabbit in his arms, and then roll over by himself. Heaven forbid you try to place him on his tummy to start with! Except, of course, for his 10:00pm feeding, when he falls asleep after eating, and then prefers to be placed on his tummy, so that he doesn't wake himself up when he flips over at 2:00am.

I can only guess that if he goes to bed still awake, he wants to be able to watch me leave the room, then roll over, and if he goes to bed already half-asleep, he wants to be placed in his new position so he doesn't work himself up again trying to roll. And of course the rabbit must be in his arms when he's on his back, so that he can roll on top of it and keep it within close chewing range. Nothing beats a rabbit ear for a late night snack!

And the hidden camera finally paid off!
